Channel Islands Harbor, CA – November 8, 2024—The ISSA Tradeshow 2024, the largest tradeshow for the professional cleaning industry in North America, will commence on Sunday, November 17, 2024, and run through Thursday, November 21, 2024.
According to Steve Ashkin, CEO of The Ashkin Group and the industry's leading advocate for sustainability and green cleaning, this year's tradeshow will emphasize sustainability and its importance, particularly for facility service providers.
Educational panel discussions on sustainability will begin on Monday, November 18, and continue on Tuesday, November 19.
"On Monday, we will be discussing the latest developments and initiatives from ISSA's Sustainability Committee," says Ashkin. "We will also introduce ISSA's new courses covering the essentials of sustainability."
Tuesday's sustainability focus will be on ESG (environmental, social, and governance) initiatives and its impact on the industry, as well as sustainability trends that are expected to significantly affect all players in the cleaning industry.
All events will take place at the ISSA Sustainability and ESG Hub at Booth 1247.

"Two to keep in mind is that our customers want to work with sustainability-focused companies, and the other one [that] sustainability is simply good business."
When asked to elaborate on how sustainability is good business, Ashkin explains that when [cleaning] manufacturers, distributors, and facility service providers focus on sustainability, one of the big payoffs is that they become more efficient, which invariably leads to cost reductions and savings.
On a more personal note, Ashkin adds that he always looks forward to the annual ISSA tradeshows. "It's like a big family reunion, and I always look forward to seeing my old friends and, of course, making new ones."
