New Year’s Message from The Ashkin Group

As we reach the end of a very challenging year, many are reflecting and trying to understand all that is happening in our world.

To those who have lost someone due to the pandemic, our sincerest sympathies.

To those that have had their health threatened due to the virus, we wish you the very best and the speediest of recoveries.

As the door closes on 2021 and a new door opens for 2022, many wonder if we should be optimistic or pessimistic about the New Year.

It reminds me of a comment made by a long-forgotten newspaperman. William E. Vaughan is credited as saying:

An optimist stays up until midnight to see the New Year in.

A pessimist stays up to make sure the old year leaves.

I’ve decided to stay up till midnight and welcome 2022.

For those of us advocating for a Greener, more sustainable world for ourselves and our children, we have accomplished so much. We have every reason to believe even more great things will be realized in 2022.

Happy New Year

Steve
