How the Cleaning Industry Convinced the US Green Building Council to Change Their Thinking (Video)

The original version of LEED v5, introduced by the USGBC earlier this year, eliminated the pre-requirement for Green cleaning for a building to be LEED-certified. Further, it reduced the number of points a facility can earn by being Green-certified.

In this video, Steve Ashkin, the leading advocate for green cleaning and sustainability in the industry, discusses how he, ISSA, BSCAI, several other organizations, and members of the professional cleaning industry convinced the USGBC to reinstate many of the past Green requirements.

It's a significant accomplishment—a victory in many ways—that the entire cleaning industry should be aware of.

Here is the video - and thank you for making this happen. https://youtu.be/ITjYGrhWGF8
