2021 Green2Sustainable Recognition CeremonyHeld at ISSA Show

Channel Islands Harbor, CA – November 17, 2021 - Each year, one of the high points of the ISSA Show now taking place in Las Vegas, NV, through November 18, 2021, is the Green2Sustainable (G2S) Sustainability Recognition Ceremony.

The ceremony recognizes ISSA members who have proven their commitment to sustainability and are “doing well by doing good,” according to Katrina Saucier, program manager at G2S.

“These organizations set themselves apart by tracking [sustainability] performance, reducing consumption, waste, and reporting on their progress.”

Along with helping these members reduce their environmental footprint and their impact on climate change, participants typically report several cost benefits.

“G2S is all about improving efficiencies,” adds Saucier. “Most sustainably-focused organizations find they use less, waste less, and have a leaner operation. That’s when the cost savings materialize.”

This year, the organizations that honored and recognized are the following:

  • ABCO Products

  • Baker Paper & Supply

  • EBP Supply, a Division of Imperial Dade

  • Imperial Dade

  • Iowa-Des Moines Supply

  • Nichols, a Division of Imperial Dade

  • North American

  • Nyco

  • Rochester Midland Corporation

  • Servicon

  • Solaris Paper

  • SouthEast Link

  • WAXIE

“The jansan industry became a ‘Green’ leader twenty years ago with the adoption of Green Cleaning,” says Steve Ashkin, president of The Ashkin Group and G2S, and the leading advocate for Green Cleaning and Sustainablity in the professional cleaning industry.

“The industry realized it was not only a healthier way to clean but good business. A similar thing is happening now with sustainability. Operating in a sustainability-focused manner is smart business.”
