Green Jobs Remain Resilient and Growing

Channel Islands Harbor, CA - September 25, 2024 - According to a report by the U.S. Department of Labor, job openings significantly declined this past summer, and layoffs increased.

Despite this decline, the green job sector remains not only resilient, but it’s also growing fast.

A recent study by LinkedIn defines green jobs as jobs centered on sustainability. They are becoming increasingly in demand for all types of businesses and organizations due to the escalating impacts of climate change.

These job opportunities are also on the upswing because private investors, investment firms, and banks are increasingly asking potential partners for sustainability data about their organizations.

Sustainability data indicates, among other things, the steps an organization is taking to mitigate environmental risks.
