How Your T-Shirt Can Make a Difference
World Wildlife Fund and National Geographic have partnered to release a new video series called “Make Each Choice Count”. The videos, generic less than two minutes long, try demonstrate how the seemly isolated actions we take every day leave an imprint on our planet.
This first video is about the t-shirt on your back, drugstore tracing its path from the cotton fields to your closet. Producing the t-shirt took 2,700 liters of water and washing it an average of 25 times uses even more water. When you consider all the energy needed to manufacture, transport and care for it, you start to understand its true environmental footprint.
By understanding the impacts, we can make our choices count.
